I want to purchase an existing tax law practice and the former attorney (partners) want buy antibiotics online to be employees of the new firm. If not a licensed attorney, can I own the firm…what are the limitations of the practice name, I am a tax practioner, what limitations would I have on how I can represent the firm and myself personally…if any?

That depends on the rules of the governing bar association for the State you live in. The attorneys you are referring to should know the answer to that.
Depends on the rules of professional ethics in your unknown State.
In my State – CA – this wouldn’t be allowed. Only a lawyer can hold any ownership interest in a firm or partnership that offers legal services.

If you have to ask in a forum like this, you’re not qualified. I HOPE YOUR NOT IN A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR ME.
this would be a sticky wicket and would depend a lot on the unauthorized practice statute in your jurisdiction. you don’t want anyone to think you are holding yourself out to be a lawyer or giving legal advice, basically, but the law can be very strict on this and if a client is just stupid and confused, you could end up in a world of ****.
you would want to consult an attorney who specializes in ethics and professional discipline.
