my daughter works in a law firm and get harrassed everyday by this one attorney.yesterday he held a file in his hands while insisting that something was missing out of it but refused to let her see the file to review before she could answer him. he just wanted her to quess or remember purchase prescription drugs without seeing it first when several people had handled the file

She needs to go to her supervisor. If she’s an attorney, she should seek out a senior attorney that she knows and trusts and ask his/her advice on how to deal with him. If she feels he will be unfairly evaluating her job performance, she should start recording the incidents that are upsetting to her. Honestly, though, the situation you described is not "harassment" in any legal or formal way, but rather standard fare for a tough partner in a law firm. Working in a law firm requires a very thick skin, and while it sounds like she is in a bad situation, she may just have to find a way to deal with it. There will be many more, and worse, situations with partners who are tough to deal with and who are unfair. I have worked in large lawfirms for the past six years, and have had to deal with many extremely difficult partners.
That’s not harassment; that’s a crappy boss. The world is full of them. If she doesn’t like it she can quit.
Just sounds like a jerk boss – or perhaps what was in there was something your daughter should have known where it was.
Boohoo – lifes not fair. If she is unhappy with her boss then she should move along to a job where she will be happier.
